News and fans' stories Latest news An accessible and inclusive experience at UEFA EURO 2024 UEFA EURO 2024 kicks off on Friday 14 June, with 24 national teams from across Europe vying to be crowned champions in Berlin on 14 July. Access and inclusion has been at the forefront of the planning of this tournament, meaning that disabled fans from Germany and further afield should be able to enjoy a welcoming, positive matchday alongside their fellow supporters. To help disabled spectators to prepare for their matchday experiences, UEFA has published comprehensive information on accessible infrastructure and services at every stadium. To access this information, visit the UEFA online venue guide, and select your chosen host city. Once selected, you will be directed to a dedicated portal for that city. Each portal contains a tab labelled 'Accessibility'. All information can also be accessed through the official UEFA EURO 2024 app, which is filled with news, interviews and highlights from the tournament. The app is available to download via the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. Audio-descriptive commentary is a dedicated service offered to support partially sighted and blind spectators. For UEFA EURO 2024, expert commentators representing almost every competing nation will be in Germany to deliver the service at their country's matches. For the first time, live ADC is available to listen to both inside and outside the stadiums. To tune in, simply download the official UEFA EURO 2024 app and select 'More' in the bottom right corner. From the menu that will appear, scroll to 'At the event' and select 'Audio descriptive commentary'. You will then have the opportunity to select your chosen match and language, and listen in to this inclusive, transformative service. German commentary is available at every match. Almost every nation competing will have commentary available for their matches. For example, in the Spain vs Italy match ADC will be available in German, Spanish and Italian. For matches involving Croatia, Georgia, Slovakia, Slovenia and Ukraine, an English commentary will be provided. Ukrainian commentary will be available at selected fixtures during the tournament, using the Homer radio app. More information will be published on this service in the coming days. We will provide two disabled fans and their companions with accessibility tickets to attend a match at the tournament. Monitors will receive dedicated training from AccessibAll to prepare them, and will be asked to complete a feedback form on their experience. This feedback is critical to ensure that all disabled fans can enjoy the most inclusive and accessible experience possible. Limited opportunities are still available to take part in the project. For more information, please read the news story on the AccessibAll website. If you are attending UEFA EURO 2024, either as or with a disabled supporter, we are keen to hear from you! We ask you to please complete our online feedback form, and send any photos or videos that you have taken to us. You can get in touch with us by email to [email protected], or leave us a telephone message at +44 (0)203 355 9867. We will get back to you as soon as possible!
