News and fans' stories Latest news Apply to become an accessibility monitor at the UEFA Champions League Final 2024 CAFE is aiming to recruit disabled football fans to be CAFE accessibility monitors to evaluate accessible services, facilities and amenities available at this season’s UEFA Champions League Final in London. CAFE works with UEFA to improve the matchday experience for disabled supporters at all of its club competition Finals and international competitions, including the UEFA European Championships and UEFA Nations League Finals. To support these works, we are looking to recruit locally-based disabled fans to attend the UEFA Champions League Final on Saturday 1 June 2024 at Wembley Stadium, London, England, as volunteers to provide detailed user-led feedback to CAFE post-match. CAFE is looking to receive applications from differently disabled people who are passionate about accessibility and can draw upon their personal experience to evaluate matchday services, facilities, and amenities. Apply to become a CAFE accessibility monitor at the UEFA Champions League Final 2024. Successful applicants will need to submit valid proof of eligibility to CAFE. Valid proofs of eligibility for English-based applicants include: Recently dated Personal Independence Payment (PIP) benefit award letter (showing the award of the benefit for the year 2024); Recently dated Disability Living Allowance (DLA) benefit award letter (showing the award of the benefit for the year 2024); Signed and recently dated doctors / hospital letter stating access requirements / need for accessibility tickets; Both sides of a blue badge parking pass showing cardholders name and validity date. If required, a complimentary companion ticket will be provided to successful Accessibility Monitors. An accessible parking permit, can also be requested and will be granted subject to availability. A short online training for CAFE accessibility monitors will be provided by CAFE (either by Zoom or Microsoft Teams). Applicants must be available to attend the UEFA Champions League Final on Saturday 1 June, kicking off at 20:00 local time. Successful candidates must complete a CAFE Evaluation report and submit this alongside any photos and videos within 48 hours of the final whistle. Appointed accessibility monitors must also be available to clarify responses and provide additional information up to 72 hours after the end of the match. CAFE will share all reports and supplementary evidence with UEFA and the host venue, so any areas of concern can be highlighted. CAFE and UEFA hope that feedback received from accessibility monitors will encourage long-term and sustainable improvements for locally-based disabled spectators as a legacy of hosting the UEFA Champions League Final 2024.
