At the recent World Football Summit Monterrey, taking place at Pabellón M, AccessibAll hosted a series of engaging activities and impactful discussions, including a dynamic panel on accessibility.

AccessibAll CEO, Olivier Jarosz, and Advisor for the Americas, Carlos Guzman, were joined by a range of passionate high-profile speakers including representatives of the International Paralympic Committee, Special Olympics, Club Tigres, Comité Paralímpico Mexicano (COPAME) and Cripple Media.

The AccessibAll LATAM Forum was hosted in partnership with World Football Summit and COPAME, highlighting the impact of collaboration and uniting with like-minded partners to share a unified message - that our game, our industry and our society as a whole needs to embrace accessibility for all.

There are approximately 85 million disabled people living in Latin America and the Caribbean - a huge figure that illustrates how vitally important this topic is. Disabled people and their families represent a global market exceeding US$10 trillion, yet still remain vastly underrepresented and prevented from taking their rightful places across society.

Marisol Rodriguez, ESG - Social Impact Leader at Club Tigres, shared a hugely powerful story from her club and its disabled fans that made it clear to all in attendance that accessibility is so much more than a tick-box exercise. We all have a duty to create an environment where disabled people and their families can truly thrive.

The sessions in Monterrey touched on a number of topics key to delivering true inclusion, including media representation, public policy and changing the perception of disabled people.

Speaking after the event, Carlos Guzman said, "We are energised that such a gathering took place, and we could also celebrate a positive message here in Mexico. We are truly grateful to everyone who made it possible, with a strong message of thanks to COPAME and the World Football Summit".

We would also like to extend our gratitude to all of the speakers who shared their stories and insights, as well as everyone in attendance for the Forum. We enjoyed a hugely successful event, and left Mexico with great momentum and a renewed energy.

Our heartfelt thanks to COPAME and the World Football Summit for their continued partnership and support. We look forward to developing this collaboration further to deliver meaningful change for disabled people through utilising the unique power of sport.
